The Barns' house is like none other. It's a modern castle. Mr. James Barns (As he requires us to call him) is a retired man of 42 who has made is mark in this world. James's pride is to all decked out for Halloween night the day of. He puts the best looking Halloween decorations in the world all over his huge yard (it's not his work, he hires some pro group to come do it). The yard has every decoration possible. They have stuff like cats' paw prints and the classic witches' costumes all over. On Halloween if you look at his house all you see is a scary looking corn maze/haunted house thingy. If you really try you can get to the door in 30 minutes. When you finally do get to the door you think that because you put all that work into getting there they will give you 10 king size candy bars. Long story short: they don't. Long story long version: At the door you see them with a bowl full of bags of jelly beans. Not huge bags of jelly beans, a size that wouldn't be worth 30 minuets for but you might spend a dollar on. You're disappointed already when this happens. As you start to reach for one of the bags they yank the bowl back. "Hey that whole bag is not yours silly!" They open a bag and pick up a single jelly bean and drop it in your pillow case. You’re thinking what a total waste of time that was when you realize that the maze changes. 45 minuets later you finally step out ready to make a sequel to the chain saw massacre series and you find out the one jelly bean's flavor is earwax. There is a name for this feeling. Its name happens to be ihatethebarnsandiwantthemtomovetoalaska. And that is the worst possible thing that could happen while Trick-or-treating.
Of Course the average houses are not like this. Most of them are perfectly simple. So have a Happy Halloween and Have some fun.
